NIJGADH: Monitoring and supervision of bordering areas encroached by India in the district of Bara have been carried out.

A team comprising representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Defense Ministry, Nepal Army, Nepal Police and District Administration Office carried out the supervision of bordering areas and no man’s land in Bara.

There is 464 kilometers open border with India in eights districts of the State-2 — 60 kilometers in Bara, 32 kilometers in Rautahat, 51 kilometers in Sarlahi, 38 kilometers in Mahottari, 107 kilometers in Parsa, 57 kilometers in Siraha, 41 kilometers in Dhanusha, and 78 kilometers in Saptari district.

Chief District Officer of Bara, Phanindra Mani Pokharel, said that the onsite supervision and monitoring of border pillars have been carried out at Martihawa and Musarwa of Bara district.
